Would like to see a Great Leader of the SPARTANS...esp. after watching that awesome movie 300
2k will not be releasing any more patches unless some big problem shows up. The last ones realeased say they are final.
Unless they want to support it for future computers there just going to make a Civ 5 or something
note to teh moderators please update the "current patch" bar
oh yea and add a link to here:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en
For the people with lost .dll files
Civilization V.... lolz
Civ 5=Beyond the Sword (basically)
my x-fire downloaded me a new patch (3.17) yesterday for beyond the sword i couldnt see a list of what the patch does tho so will it be safe to update???
What civ needs is a WWII scenario on a normal or small map, maybe a scenario that re-enacts the battle of the eastern front or the African theater.
is there any plans to have more than the stock corperations that currently be founded by a civ? ie:- oil resourses can make oil companies as an example
I'm pretty sure there'll be no more patches

about the company, the Civilization series and computer strategy gaming
in general.

During ApolyCon '06 held in Timonium, Maryland this past July, Big Huge
Games (BHG) designer Paul Stephanouk gave a presentation to attendees on
the development of the company's premiere title, Rise of Nations, which
offered a glimpse into BHG's approach to game in general.
In the fifth of five parts, Stephanouk answers an attendee's question as
to what his favourite video game is and his view on digital distribution,
gives away a copy of the original RoN beta to another attendee who
correctly answers a trivia question -- and then beats him at a game of
"Rock, Paper, Scissors" -- and working with publisher Microsoft Game
Studios. Finally, Stephanouk is presented with something for him and the
other members of the BHG staff to enjoy.

| | Editor's Top 10 Favorites of 2006 - Articles Posted by: USS_Sovereign on 01-20-2007 @ 08:59 | | This News Item has been viewed 21726 times! IGN Posted their Editor's Top 10 Favorites of 2006.
Warlords won the 3rd place
Quote: Civilization 4 Warlords
Platform: PC
Genre: Strategy
Developer: Firaxis
Publisher: 2K Games
Why?: Warlords definitely delivers the goods in terms of offering up new units, new civs and new traits. On that score alone, it's a great expansion. I wish there was more new stuff for the latter third of the game and I still don't care about the scenarios but Warlords adds plenty of great options to the already stellar Civilization IV. That's more than enough to earn it a spot on my list.

| | Sid Meier on learning from videogames - Articles Posted by: USS_Sovereign on 01-05-2007 @ 07:17 | | This News Item has been viewed 18247 times! A brief article was published by forbes.com. In this article Side Meier talks about people actually learning from videogames.
Quote: People actually learn fairly effectively from computer games. Someone who plays Civilization probably has a better understanding of some of the dynamics that go into the history of the world. We've heard from teachers and students. We heard about the guy who aced his geography class because he'd played Pirates, so he knew every city in the Caribbean and every island.
